2026 Provincial Team Head Coach Applications

Baseball Manitoba is now accepting Provincial Team Head Coach applications for the 2026 season. These positions offer an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of elite athletes and support high performance baseball in Manitoba.

Term of Appointment

Each Head Coach position is for a 1-year term (2026), with a mutual option to renew.

Compensation

Provincial Team Head Coaches will receive:

• Reimbursement for travel, accommodations, and meals
• An honorarium upon completion of the season

Duties and Responsibilities

• Scout athletes at various tournaments and championships;
• Conduct athlete identification camps (open tryouts);
• Select the final roster, in conjunction with Baseball Manitoba staff and the selected support staff for the team;
• Assist with setting the competitive and practice schedules, in conjunction with Baseball Manitoba staff and VP of High Performance;
• Manage all aspects of the respective teams, including creating annual team plans and goals, in conjunction with Baseball Manitoba staff;
• Assist Baseball Manitoba and Sport Manitoba staff in the development of the annual team budget;
• Attend all scheduled on & off field team events throughout the term of the appointment; and
• Oversee the distribution, tracking and return of all equipment and uniforms issued to the respective teams.

Required NCCP Certification

Coaching Experience

Previous Head Coaching experience at an elite level (AAA or higher) is required.
