In accordance with The Protecting Youth in Sports Act, all Provincial Sport Organizations are mandated to formally adopt a new Safe Sport Policy Manual, which includes the following safe sport policies:
1. Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy
2. Discipline and Complaints Policy
3. Alternate Dispute Resolution Policy
4. Appeal Policy
5. Respect in Sport Policy
6. Coach Screening Policy Minimum Requirements

Insurance Info

All members of the Provincial Sport Organization (PSO), including executives, managers, coaches, trainers, officials, employees, and volunteers who are properly registered with the association and while acting within the scope of their duties on the association’s behalf.

PSO Sanctioned or authorized events within the sport discipline, including practices, competitions and related training.

Bodily Injury and Property Damage - $5,000,000 Each Occurrence

Medical Expense Limit - $10,000 Any One Person

Injury To Participant Coverage - $5,000,000 Each Occurrence / Annual Aggregate

Legal Defense Expense - $50,000 per claim / Annual Aggregate

The D&O policy does NOT provide or extend to any member clubs or any other organizations that may be associated with the PSO. These member clubs or other entities who are interested in obtaining coverage would need to apply for a D&O policy on their own accord.
NOTE: This is a 3rd payer participant accident policy. This means that the insurance will only respond or is triggered after the limits of insurance have been exhausted under your Manitoba Health Insurance plan and any extend health plan (if applicable).
