Over the past six months, following the completion of Baseball Canada’s governance review process, Baseball Manitoba’s HR Committee has been engaged in a comprehensive governance review to ensure our organization is positioned to lead effectively, govern responsibly, and continue supporting safe, positive baseball experiences across Manitoba.
This work has included extensive discussion, refinement, and in-person sessions, including a thorough review at Baseball Manitoba’s Annual General Meeting in March of 2026. The process has also been supported by independent expertise and made possible through the financial support of Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries.

Baseball Manitoba is now sharing its Consultative Working Draft as part of an open and transparent consultation process.
This document is not final. It reflects the current thinking of the Management Committee and Executive Director and is being shared intentionally and early to promote transparency, understanding, and meaningful engagement well in advance of any formal decisions.
The proposed By-Laws outline several proposed governance concepts, including:
No governance changes will be implemented without formal member approval. Any final governance structure would be subject to a vote of the membership at the October 2026 Semi-Annual General Meeting.
Baseball Manitoba encourages all members to review the document linked above in the spirit it is intended, as a working model open to consultation, discussion, and refinement. Sharing this information now ensures members have ample time to understand the proposed direction and provide feedback before any vote is considered.
The governance review and Working Draft have already been formally presented by the President, Executive Director, and HR Committee at:
In addition, Baseball Manitoba will host virtual town hall sessions later this spring to continue the consultation process.
Additional information regarding feedback opportunities, town hall details, and frequently asked questions will continue to be shared on this webpage as the consultation process progresses.
Thank you for your continued commitment to baseball in Manitoba and for your engagement as we work together to strengthen Baseball Manitoba for the future.
