Baseball Manitoba Welcomes New Program Coordinator

All of us at Baseball Manitoba are excited to welcome Carriera Lamoureux (Winnipeg) as the newest member of our office staff!

Carriera stepped into the role of Program Coordinator in December of 2025, and in just a few short months has already brought enthusiasm and a strong passion for growing the game of baseball across the province. As an established basketball athlete, coach, and official, she brings a wealth of knowledge shaped by years of experience in the world of sport.

“Sport has positively impacted my life. I received an education because of sport. I learned and continue to learn valuable life skills because of sport. Some of my closest and dearest friends are in my life because of sport. In response, I try to bring that same gratitude and opportunity to the people I will meet and work alongside, because I know how healing and transformative sport can be!” Said Carriera.

As our Sport Coordinator, Carriera is responsible for aspects of programming and administration that are encompassed within our grassroots diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) portfolio, entry-level coach and umpire development. Her primary focus is working with underrepresented populations in Manitoba, indigenous community development, inner city engagement and female participation.

“I am most looking forward to the opportunity to build relationships for the purpose of creating inclusive, fun, and collaborative baseball spaces. I want participants, whether young or old, to not only see themselves in Baseball Manitoba’s programming, but to feel as though they are welcomed and belong. I am most excited to connect people, communities, and organizations to the game of baseball.” Said Carriera.
