The 2025 Canada Summer Games (CSG) marked a groundbreaking milestone as Women’s Baseball made its debut on the national stage. During our 2025 Awards Banquet, we wanted to take a moment to highlight one of the most memorable moments from the inaugural event.
Representatives from Baseball New Brunswick were invited to the stage to receive the game ball from Game #19 of the 2025 CSG, a ball that carries historic significance. In that game, Arizona Peck delivered a stellar performance, becoming the first pitcher in Women’s Baseball history at the Games to throw a no-hitter.
After the final out, the game ball was given to official scorer Teri-Lynn Harms, who brought it safely home to Manitoba, not only preserving Arizona’s incredible achievement but also marking a historic moment for women’s baseball in Canada.
Two Manitobans were awarded a Baseball Canada Award during the event. Congratulations to Morgan de Peña and Brian Hodgson on their incredible achievements!
