Hit - Run - Throw
Baseball Manitoba is pleased to present the 16th great year for the Hit - Run - Throw (HRT) Program, a province wide baseball skills competition.
HRT is an exciting skill development opportunity open to all amateur baseball associations. Participants compete in three skill areas: running the bases for time, hitting a ball off a tee for distance, and throwing a ball for distance.
Boys and girls between 4 and 13 years of age compete in a series of competitions held at local and regional sites across the Province. The top three Regional finalists in each of the six age categories will qualify for the Provincial Finals to be held at CanWest Park, Friday, August 6, 2010. Last year approx. 1000 Manitoba ballplayers participated in the HRT program.
The entry fee for the HRT competition is $6.00 with two dollars from every fee staying with the local baseball host site. Each participant will receive various souvenir items. Winners at each level will receive gold, silver and bronze HRT medals.
All children interested in participating in the HRT Program for next year, and anyone interested in helping with their association's endeavour in this fun and challenging competition, should contact their regional coordinator/contact person for registration information or contact the M.B.A. office at (204) 925-5763.
